Magician
Class Description
Magicians tend to focus on their spiritual training as they are the masters of the elements. Magicians are a human class that use magic and have the most powerful magic attack damage, but their Health Points (HP) and defense is a little bit weak.
Class Background
Before the time when gods and giants fought against each other in extraordinary battles that lit up the sky and laid waste to many of the lands, the gods were at peace with all of their creations.
Those were the days when the gods lived and walked with humanity. They taught humanity and the elves some of the ancient disciplines and skills of Asgard, which gave the people of the New World all the knowledge that they needed to survive and thrive.
One of the vital skills that the gods helped humanity master was magic.
The first magicians were trained by Odin (the god of wisdom). Odin gave humanity the ultimate gift of Asgard; the knowledge of magic. The gods of Asgard never needed to disturb the soil in order to build great cities, they used the mysterious power of magic to help them build and improve their lives.
The battle between the gods and the giants was near and Týr (the god of war) still didn’t have enough soldiers to be able to defeat the army of giants, so Odin began teaching humans about the arcane mysteries of the elements.
Odin taught the magicians how to condense their mana into a fireball that formed in the palms of their hands, then he showed them how to hurl out that fireball with great speed so that it pierced through an enemy’s armor like an arrow. Some of the magicians could even blast a series of these fire arrows at enemies which scorched them to death like hellfire.
Fire was quite easy to master as it only required humans to surge their mana into a single spot. Ice magic on the other hand, was not so easy to perform, because the magicians needed to spread their mana evenly in the energetic field and gather it back together slowly to form ice that was completely frozen around their enemies’ feet.
The magicians later leaned Ice Storm, which helped the magicians slow the giants down in battle so that it was easier for them and other warriors to attack the giants.
Odin would later teach the magicians to protect themselves with shields that they formed using the mysterious energies that held the realms together. Odin also taught the magicians how to summon meteors from the heavens that caused lava to burst out from the ground and inflict tremendous damage on the giants and stun them for further attacks.
A few years went by and some of the magicians were tempted to join Hel (the goddess of death) and Loki (the god of chaos) to kill the gods. Hel taught the dissenters how to summon fire demons called Eidolons and use them as extra soldiers in the battle against Odin.
Odin lost his patience with Hel and Loki immediately after receiving news of this betrayal from his servant Hermód, so he declared that the war between the gods and the giants would begin soon after that.
After many years of wars between the gods and giants, when both were destroyed in the aftermath of the great wars, the skills that the gods taught the people of the New World would be handed down from generation to generation and used in the war between the three Kingdoms.
