The strong warriors successfully stopped Cronus from resurrecting Udonna in the Tomb of Cronus, and killed Cronus once more.
So the soul of Cronus planned to return from the darkness of hell by making a deal with the guardians of the underworld Agriss, Emerald and Abaddon to resurrect him using an ancient energy from the Land of Sigh. Cronus agreed to create a legion of powerful warriors for the guardians of hell to torment the living.
However, Cronus was tricking them. He used the power of the hell guardians to return to this world, and revived from the Land of Skull with even more power than ever before. He had regained control of the Night Devil Legion, and was prepared to take revenge on the Kingdom once more. He was so angry that the strong warriors foiled his plans that his one goal became to make all the mortals of this world live in suffering.
Even though the strong warriors could not stop the resurrection of Cronus, the King had made a decree calling for the strongest warriors in the Kingdom to punish the Guardians of Hell in the Land of Sigh for resurrecting Cronus.
